About Me

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Spanish from Dickinson College in May of 2015. I had the opportunity to apply theories and lessons learned in the classroom to real life situations throughout my Dickinson experience. From studying lead exposure in local gardens to working at the Dickinson College farm, experiential learning was a staple of my education.

I am currently pursuing a Master's of Public Health Degree in Environmental Health Science at Boston University SPH (enrolled for fall 2015). My main areas of interest include non-communicable and chronic disease epidemiology, exposure to chemicals in consumer products and issues of access (including access to food, health care and a walkable environment).

These interests and my general passion for the environment continue to drive my academic career, my work experiences and my personal life. Whether I am working in the fields of a farm, leading an environmental education class, taking a water sample from a local lake, managing data or speaking Spanish with my peers, I am always dedicated to the task at hand and eager to learn something new.

My personal strengths include creativity, writing and communication skills, self-motivation, advanced knowledge of the Spanish language, flexibility and the ability to work well both independently and with a team.

I thrive on interacting with members of my local community and enjoy expanding my personal and professional network of acquaintances.
