I performed one year of independent research on chemical flame retardants in upholstered, foam-based furniture in order to determine if policy-enacted chemical phase-outs are effective means of reducing consumer exposure equitably.

 

*This research received departmental honors and a third place award at the Chesapeake Potomac Regional Chapter of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry 2015 Spring Meeting.
